Smelling like roses

There are not many things that cause me to blog in anger. In some quarters it is said that there are not many things that cause me to blog at all. That which caused me to vent my ire or "Do a Kitson" as I believe it is commonly known, is something close to my heart - the swimming pool. As I've been a regular member, today the sports centre staff decided to offer me the luxury of the women's changing rooms. Luxury hardly describes what I discovered. Whereas the men's has an odour of the like that you would find in the sewers, the ladies' is reminiscent of a Persian Palace. Beautiful aromas from far and wide and spacious facilities met my nostrils and pupils upon my entry.
I would like to recommend to the Manager of the afore-mentioned establishment that he ensures both are of the same quality in the future. And also, for his own safety, that it is resolved quickly. Because if the women I saw in the pool today have to put up with the old men's changing rooms much longer there will be a riot. And I don't mean any old riot, I mean women clad in batheing costumes emerging from the pool armed with goggles, arm bands and rubber ducks that they will be looking to thrust upon the manager's person.
And finally..the Pool Changing Room Discrimination has already made it into this week's WHAT'S SHIT, let's see what else had made WHAT'S A HIT, WHAT'S SHIT.
WHAT'S A HIT - JOE CALZAGE Showing us that some British boxers really are undefeated.
WHAT'S SHIT - SWIMMING POOL ATTENDANT Cleverly conceived notion that I should swim to the other end of the pool with a lane dividing rope in hand. Alas, in his wise reasoning he didn't cater for the dolphins, mating walruses and near-pregnant mothers that got caught in the netting. WHAT'S SHIT - GIRL DOING BACKSTROKE No, she wasn't massaging my lats, instead merely getting in everyone's way in what was already a busy lane and poking everybody's eyes out. Shame on you! WHAT'S A HIT - I PASSED MY FINAL EXAM OF THE YEAR Yes, thank-you. Stop applauding please..
