Strange goings on in my neck of the wood recently. Firstly, last night it was lights out lights out in Weston as the area was hit by a power cut. As I walked home from Genesis Lifestyle Centre it was hard not to notice the candles lit in countless front rooms. If I hadn't known what was going on I may have thought my neighbours were praying to Mother Mary.
Despite the spooky darkness though it was a natural thing. Had the power cut lasted longer than the hour or so it did, then the faith of the owners of the 1,600 homes affected in the Energy Grid would have hit rock bottom.
The second Apocalyptic event was my being caught in a storm. Being out in the street when the rain turned to hail was the cherry on top of a physically uncomfortable trek home. You may have thought the pain had me calling doctor doctor! but I gritted my teeth and let it roll.
Finally some good news. A scart lead I ordered came through the post today. It is another step toward being able to play the multi-player game I love to love - Bomberman! Hopefully it will be more competitive as in the past Mr. Watkins has been too hot to handle.
Till next time, and 3 points to those of you who recognized the 'subtly' placed song titles.
