Happy New Decade

Its been a good start to the New Year. Friday I spent with Jemma celebrating 2 years since I said (more or less): "Er, well, how about it then?" and she said: "Yarp, might as well." A.K.A. Anniversary.

What was a lovely day started with us looking high, low and medium for somewhere that served all day cooked breakfasts. After finding none of our usual eating holes we settled on Garfunkels. Only later to find out that Weatherspoons had, as a one off had all day b/fasts.

In the evening we saw 'Alvin and the Chipmunks 2' at the cinematopia. A few weeks after surviving the multi-gazillion squillion killion euro, coma-inducing 'Avatar', it was nice to see a film that entertained from start to finish. We rounded off our day with a lovely meal at Nandos, one of the few decent imports from Portugal..

Onto Sunday, which saw the greatest upset since David and Goliath.

In the battle of the United's, Leeds beat their Dublin/Surrey/Delhi counterparts 1-0. I'll repeat that - LEEDS, currently playing 2 leagues below Manchester United, won in Manchester. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!! Does that now mean when football commentators say 'United' they are referring to Leeds? Oh and Arsenal won too. If Carlsberg did F.A. Cup ties..

Apart from that I have been spending the new year thawing out from being cryogenitally frozen. Knew I forgot one of my Christmas' wishes: Dear Santa, please make it less bloody cold. Simon.

Keep warm, and a Happy 2000 and 10 from 'Simon Says'.
