Up the Wurzel Tree

Its been a wild weekend. It all kicked off on Friday night when Mr. Kitson and I went to see those West Country legends the Wurzels in concert. We had a lot of cider-swigging fun including the vintage tunes 'Combine Harvester', 'I am a Cider Drinker' and Bristol City F.C. anthem 'Drink Up Thy Zider'.

Between the gig and 3:00 a.m. Saturday morning, I had approximately 60 minutes of sleep. Why the fatigue inducing sleep pattern? you may ask. I went with Jemma to Brighton for a Uni open day. And? Well, the least extortionate mode of public transport was a coach that left Bath at 4:45 a.m.

Despite the lack of personal relevance, I was suitably impressed by what I saw of the University and of the effort made by staff and students alike. In a talk given by some 2nd years, a Welsh student informed us that the motto of the Uni's Welsh society was "Safety in numbers, boyos!"

The one downside to the day was the 10 hours+ that we spent on coaches. The drivers on the way back showed the same impatience we were feeling and had a penchant for taking corners like Michael Schumacher. Despite this though we made it home safely if a little exhausted by a long, long weekend!
