'English players don't dive, and if they do its because of the dirty foreigners.'

If ITV and the media at large had spent half as much time making a fuss over Arsenal striker Eduardo Da Silva's horrific leg break as they did about his first dive in English football then perhaps they would have a point. But no, they didn't.

Neither do they even mention players like Steven Gerrard, Ronaldo and Didier Drogba when they frequently hurl themselves to the ground without so much as a gust of wind touching them. You prejudiced bigots.

We pay licence fees for that garbage. Rant over. For now..

Agree. It is like Eduardo started the West Ham riots.

Personally, I think it was a dive, but it wasn't THAT bad. As you say; Ronaldo, Drogba and Gerrard all dive more than Eduardo and don't face similar action.

If UEFA punish Eduardo and they are consistent and punish ALL future divers, I am all for it.

If UEFA punish Eduardo and then let the likes of Drogba etc get away with cheating, than it is a disgrace.

Unfortunately I think the latter will happen.

Also, while everyone is out to get Arsenal, diving is a pandemic in modern football. EVERY club at EVERY level has at least one diver, and any fan/manager/player who say their club doesn’t have one, is either deluded or a liar.

The latter has already happened. Ashley Young for Aston Villa v Rapid Vienna. As Wenger said, Sottish influence at UEFA is why it has happened.
